ASP confuses us!

ASPiada

Voltou a anunciar mudanças.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week the ASP posted on its site a new change in the system input to the WT, the Board of Directors of ASP, which had already announced earlier this year that in 2012 there would be no more rotation in the middle of the year again announced changes. In 2013 will rank the Top 22 ASP World Title + Ranking the Top 10 ASP World Rankings (those who have not qualified in the previous). In addition to all the surfers have their points reset.
What I see is that the ASP has been making blunders after blunders over the past three years, and I do not refer to the fact of the premeditated title of Kelly, after all it was a program error that calculated the seedings. I mean the constant changes that bring many uncertainties to the surfers, and disgusted and abandonment of these competitions (this year two new generation of Brazilians assumed that they will not seek the post in 2012 because of the uncertainties of the tour, who are: Ricardo Santos and Marco Giorgi).
This is bad for the image of ASP and especially bad for the image of surfing competition, it is difficult for us to understand the system, even more to the general public.
When Bobby Martinez deranged the ASP in the New York event, I thought it was unnecessary and a rude attitude, but the time has came to confirm that he was right.
The ASP backed off from his two major changes last year, the rotation in the middle of the year and the unification of the rankings. Yes, the rankings are unified only in the website, the system is again the same as the years of 2000, ASP World Title Rankings (WCT) and ASP World Rankings (WQS) each giving their respective positions, the difference is that now ae 34 instead of 44 surfers.
The surfer Kieren Perrow, who represent the surfers in the entity, seems to seek more a job as CEO of ASP in the future by agreeing with everything that is imposed.
The ASP claims it is always in a "continuous improvement" and that the system will change when they see a need to satisfy the TOP's.
To me it looks more like a Senate, no one there knows what it's doing and even where this is going...
