ASP confuses us!

Esta semana a ASP publicou em seu site uma nova mudança no sistema de entrada ao WT, o Conselho de Administração da ASP, que já havia anunciado no começo do ano que em 2012 não mais haveria rotação no meio do ano. Voltou a anunciar mudanças. Em 2013 irão se classificar os Top 22 do ASP World Title Ranking + os Top 10 do ASP World Rankings (aqueles que já não têm qualificação no anterior). Além de os surfistas terem todos seus pontos ZERADOS.
O que eu vejo é que a ASP vem fazendo burradas atrás de burradas nesses últimos 3 anos, e nem me refiro ao fato do título premeditado do Kelly, afinal aquele foi um erro do programa que calculava os seedings. Me refiro as constantes mudanças, que trazem muitas incertezas aos surfistas, e causa desgosto e abandono dos mesmos as competições (este ano dois brasileiros da nova geração assumiram que não vão buscar a vaga em 2012, devido as incertezas do tour, são eles  Ricardo dos Santos e Marco Giorgi).
Isso é ruim para a imagem da ASP e principalmente ruim para a imagem do surf competição, fica difícil até para nós entendermos o sistema, quanto mais para o publico em geral.
Quando o Bobby Martinez esculachou a ASP na etapa de NY, eu mesmo achei grosseira e desnecessária a sua atitude, porém o tempo veio a confirmar que ele estava certo.
A ASP voltou atrás em suas duas principais mudanças no ano passado, a rotação no meio do ano e a unificação dos rankings. Sim, porque os rankings estão unificados só no site, o sistema voltou a ser o mesmo dos anos 2000, ASP World Title Rankings (WCT) e ASP World Rankings (WQS) cada um dando suas respectivas vagas, a diferença é que agora são 34 ao invés de 44 surfistas.
Kieren Perrow, representante dos surfistas perante a entidade, mais parece que busca uma vaga como CEO da ASP no futuro, por que concorda com tudo que é imposto.
A ASP alega que está sempre em um “constante aperfeiçoamento” do sistema e que vão mudar sempre que acharem necessário para melhor satisfazer os TOP’s.
Para mim aquilo mais parece um Senado, ninguém lá sabe o que esta fazendo e nem aonde isso vai dar...

When Bobby Martinez deranged the ASP in the New York event, I thought it was unnecessary and a rude attitude, but the time has came to confirm that he was right.
The ASP backed off from his two major changes last year, the rotation in the middle of the year and the unification of the rankings. Yes, the rankings are unified only in the website, the system is again the same as the years of 2000, ASP World Title Rankings (WCT) and ASP World Rankings (WQS) each giving their respective positions, the difference is that now ae 34 instead of 44 surfers.
The surfer Kieren Perrow, who represent the surfers in the entity, seems to seek more a job as CEO of ASP in the future by agreeing with everything that is imposed.
The ASP claims it is always in a "continuous improvement" and that the system will change when they see a need to satisfy the TOP's.
To me it looks more like a Senate, no one there knows what it's doing and even where this is going...
